Available Scholarships

Perry Technical Foundation provides financial support to students through internal and external scholarships. For more information on internal scholarships, see the Foundation Scholarship section of the website.
External scholarships are provided by organizations not affiliated with Perry Technical Institute. While the Foundation staff is happy to assist you in the application process, it is up to you to follow the scholarship guidelines and submit the completed application on time.
Copies of guidelines and applications are available in the Foundation Office.
Washington State Potato Foundation
Applicant must demonstrate a heritage of a 'farm family' or currently be working in an ag related business and have a desire to return to work in an ag related industry within the Columbia Basin. Visit www.potatoes.com/potatofoundation to begin your application. Applications are due February 15, 2012.
ISA Educational Foundation Scholarship
Applicants must be enrolled for the entire 2012-2013 academic year in instrumentation or an automation discipline. Applicants must have a GPA of at least 2.5. Applications are due February 15, 2012.
Elks Joseph Darimont Vocational Award
Applicants must be 18 to 50 years old, have graduated from High School or obtained a GED and plans to pursue an eligible Vocational/Technical Course. Applications are due February 20, 2012.
Solarity Credit Union
Applicants must be a member in good standing of Solarity Credit Union; must be a U.S. citizen or legal citizen of the U.S.; be enrolled, or will be enrolled in, in an accredited college, university or trade school; have a minimum GPA of 2.0; be attending college during the 2012-2013 school year. Applications are due February 24, 2012.
Yakima Valley Hearing & Speech Center Scholarship
Applicant must have documented hearing loss or speech/language disorder. Applications are due March 1, 2012.
Junior League of Yakima Memorial Scholarship
Applicant must be a woman with ties to the Yakima area who is at least 25 years of age and who has had a significant break in her education following high school graduation. The applicant must demonstrate financial need and plan to pursue her career in the Yakima Valley following graduation. Applications are due March 1, 2012.
Washington State Scholarship Foundation Scholarship
Applicant must have a public education resulting in a completed high school diploma or GED and be entering Perry during the 2012-2013 school year. Primary consideration is given to the applicant's financial need. For more information or to access the application, please visit http://www.washingtonscholarships.org/apply.html. Applications are due March 1, 2012.
American Welding Society District Scholraship
Applicants must be enrolled in a welding related training program. For more information or to access the application visit http://www.aws.org/w/a/foundation/district_scholarships.html. Applications are due March 1, 2012.
Walmart Associate Scholarship
Applicants must be U.S. citizens or legal resident; be employed with any division of Walmart for at least six months; have earned a high school diploma or GED; and demonstrate financial need. Applications are due March 1, 2012.
George Washington Scholarship Foundation
Applicant must be attending a community college, trade school or university in the State of Washington and be in their first year of a program. Applications are due March 1, 2012.
Washington Apple Education Foundation
Multiple scholarships are available to individuals who have a connection to the tree fruit industry in Washington. National Association of Women in Construction Trades
Applicant must be enrolled and obtaining training in a construction-related training program. Visit https://www.nawic.org/images/nawic/nfsf/NFSF_Trades_App.pdf for the application form. Applications are due March 15, 2012.
Nuts, Bolts and Thingamajigs Scholarship
Applicants must be a full-time student with a minimum 2.5 GPA for a trade school, community, or technical college scholarship and be enrolled in a manufacturing related course of study that will lead to a career in the manufacturing technology sector. Yakima Valley Construction Federation
Eligible applicants are high school graduates preparing for a career in the construction industry. Applications are due June 1, 2012.
Kids' Chance Washington
Need-based scholarships are provided to children and spouses of Washington workers permanently or catastrophically injured or deceased. No application deadline.
