Business Technology & Accounting

Business Technology & Accounting

Technology has expanded the role of office professionals. Today’s administrative assistants do much more than type letters and answer telephones – they have assumed responsibilities once reserved for managerial and professional staff.

Perry’s 12-month Business Technology & Accounting Program teaches a broad base of skills, including software applications, desktop publishing, computerized accounting and business English. The program offers the opportunity to earn two industry certifications: Microsoft Certified Applications Specialist and National Registered Bookkeeper.

The program also covers the softer skills that employers value in their employees such as customer service, etiquette and business ethics. Put your skills to work in an externship during the last quarter of the program.

Upon graduation you’ll be qualified for positions such as software applications specialist, bookkeeper, office administrator, administrative assistant and clerk.

All types of businesses and organizations depend upon administrative assistants to keep their operations running smoothly and efficiently. With solid computer, office and organizational skills, an entry-level position can be the first step up the corporate ladder.
